Our dedicated club coach is Gen (Genevieve) Dawson. Gen is a fully qualified Tennis Australia Junior Development Coach - plus she coaches adults of all ages.

Gen has an extensive playing background, representing Australia 3 times as a Junior, in addition to playing on the professional circuit.

Private Coaching
Brand new to tennis, or returning to tennis and you're a bit rusty? Serve not quite working as it should, need some tips with match strategies, or is your backhand letting you down? Whatever your background is, come and try a lesson with Gen to see how she can bring out the best player in you!

Private tennis lessons are available for $35 per half hour. These can be held 1-on-1 (recommended), in pairs, or a small group.
Gen is a very patient coach, always giving you 100% attention and support to develop your tennis skills. She has a great understanding of all player levels, with an excellent ability to assess and correct issues with player techniques.
Everyone is welcome - DSTC members, non-club players, adults, and juniors of all ages and skill levels.

Match Play
Dover Square's Orange Ball Match Play is a school term program, designed to give children who are already having tennis lessons the opportunity to transition from learning the game to playing matches in a fun team environment.
​
Orange ball is the first stage of competition play, where young tennis players can develop their competitive skills, learn etiquette, fairness, and apply the rules of the game under match conditions.
​
Matches are played using ¾ of a normal tennis court, with a lowered net and softer, low-bounce orange dot tennis balls. The program also helps tennis parents get their head around all-things-tennis in a relaxed environment.
