About Dover Square Tennis Club
Located in South Brighton, Dover Square Tennis Club (DSTC) was founded in 1932. Our tennis courts are a terrific community asset, as they are open to the public 7 days a week - excluding during club coaching, match competition days (typically all day Saturday), and special club events.
DSTC is an affiliated club with Glenelg District Tennis Association (GDTA), and Tennis SA. We are committed to providing a welcoming, safe and fun environment for everyone wanting to take part in Junior, Senior and Social tennis.
In 2021 we were very lucky and grateful to have received a generous SA Government/City of Holdfast Bay funding grant, which went towards the installation of our long awaited tennis court lighting, as well as a court surface upgrade.
We have a large player base in both Junior and Senior Competitions, and have enjoyed much success over the years. We currently offer Saturday morning junior comp, Saturday afternoon senior comp (singles/doubles combined, mixed doubles, doubles only), midweek ladies doubles, and midweek social tennis.
Dover Square warmly welcomes all new members, young and not-so-young - so why not come and join us! 😄

Jack Lynch
Court 1 at Dover Square Tennis Club is named in honour of our much loved former Club Patron, Jack Lynch.
After retiring from a stellar career playing for his beloved SANFL football team West Adelaide in 1958 (Jack was proudly inducted to the SANFL Hall of Fame in 2006), Jack's sporting interests were evidently satisfied by coaching tennis to young players at Dover Square Tennis Club.
A devoted Catholic, Jack spent much of his life after football volunteering at St Josephs, Brighton. He also worked at Mitsubishi Motors (formerly Chrysler), where he was as loyal as he was to West Adelaide (and, of course, to us at Dover!)
Jack's involvement in our Club was deeply appreciated, and he was loved and respected by all he came in contact with.
Passing away on New Years Eve in 2018 aged 89, Jack is survived by wife Ann (married in 1956), children Peter, Michael, Elizabeth, Anthony, Margaret and Robert, 17 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Game. Set. Match Jack - your legend will forever live on at Dover Square Tennis Club.
